A DAUNTING seaside assault course started taking shape at Bournemouth Beach, yesterday, ahead of a one-off RNLI fundraiser.
Hundreds of people are set to tackle the gruelling 5km SandStorm circuit tomorrow, which promises to test participant's "physical endurance, mental grit and teamwork."
Twenty obstacles will be erected including climbing walls, a cargo net, crossbeams, a 2.5m high timber wall and a slalom.
Event organiser Lauren Pincott, from the RNLI, said: "We are extremely excited to see the Sandstorm course hit Bournemouth Beach this weekend.
"Tickets are available to buy until the end of Saturday for anyone who wants to take on the challenge but hasn't got round to buying their ticket yet.
"Any profits will help support the RNLI's lifesaving work, so people can embrace the challenge with the knowledge that they're also doing their bit to help save lives at sea.
"With a specially-designed course and Bournemouth Beach as a backdrop, SandStorm will be a sight to see and an event not to be missed."
The fun starts tomorrow at 10am, with staggered starts until 3pm.
