Lower Gardens
A MAN has been charged after two teenage students were allegedly threatened with a hypodermic needle and robbed in the Lower Gardens.
The students – a 17-year-old boy from Saudi Arabia and an 18-year-old woman from Italy – were uninjured, but it is alleged a mobile phone and handbag were stolen.
Joseph Bryne Bailey, 36, and of Wolverton Road, Bournemouth, appeared before Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 19, and is next due to appear before Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, February 16.
