POLICE searching for a wanted man are calling for the public's help.

Ross Hillary, 33, was released from prison on Friday, October 21 last year after serving part of a six-month sentence for breaching a restraining order.

Since his release, Hillary has failed to comply with the notification requirements and is now wanted by police.

Sergeant Paul Auger, of Dorset Police, said Hillary often visits Bournemouth and Blandford.

"While we have no information that Ross presents a direct risk to the public, anyone who sees him should not approach him but immediately contact Dorset Police on 999," Sgt Auger said.

Hillary is described as white, six feet one inches tall, of slim build and with short brown receding hair and brown eyes.

Sgt Auger said: "I’d like to assure members of the public that officers are making every effort to find Ross Hillary as soon as possible."
