A MAN has been charged with murder after the death of a woman in Bournemouth.
Christopher Wall, 58, pleaded not guilty to the offence when he appeared before a judge at Winchester Crown Court last Friday, January 6.
The defendant, of Shelbourne Road in Bournemouth, was initially charged with grievous bodily harm after 25-year-old Hayley Wall suffered serious head injuries in an alleged assault on Tuesday, December 13 last year.
She was found outside Charminster Supermarket in Charminster Road.
Wall had been due to appear at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, January 19 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
However, in the early hours of December 23, Ms Wall died in hospital.
Police subsequently launched a murder investigation.
