TWO members of staff at Tesco were assaulted during an attempted shoplifting.
Police were called to the incident at Tesco Express inn Wimborne Road, Moordown on Wednesday evening.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "It was also reported that the man assaulted two members of staff who suffered minor injuries that did not require medical treatment."
The door to the till area was damaged during the incident.
The suspect left the store empty handed.
No arrests have been made.
