A NEW Co-op store is to open in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.
Town councillors will discuss an application by the Co-operative Group at a licensing board meeting next week.
The store, set to open on the site of the former Palm Court Hotel at Christchurch Road, already has planning permission.
Representing the company, Ward Hadaway Solicitors has applied for a licence so the store can sell alcohol for consumption off the premises between 7am and 11pm, seven days a week.
It will be discussed at the meeting at the town hall on Thursday, October 27, starting at 9.45am, with one resident of the area having objected to the application in writing.
Planning permission has already been granted for the upper floors of the former hotel to be converted into several self-catering holiday flats.
A Chinese restaurant once filled the ground floor.
