THE Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra's spectacular Proms in the Park is back next month after a five year absence.

Thousands of music lovers will attend the three day event at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth.

And the Daily Echo, media partner with the BSO, has 60 pairs of tickets to give away.

The fantastic weekend and music and picnics begins on Friday August 5, with a Classical Extravaganza including pieces from Bizet's Carmen, Rossini's Barber of Seville, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries and some of John Williams' best loved and most famous film scores.

The evening will end with fireworks, choreographed to music.

The concert will be conducted by Frank Zielhorst in his last appearance as Young Conductor in Association.

On Saturday, Pete Harrison will take the baton for a night of Symphonic Abba, with four West End singers featuring all the Swedish supergroup's many hits.

On the Sunday, gates open at 12 for a family fun day with the Inspiration Choir at 7pm and Son et Lumiere at 9pm, which will include lighting, lasers, flames and fireworks and a 70 minute soundtrack from The Last Samurai, Adiemus, Moulin Rouge as well as music by Enya, Pink Floyd and Two Steps from Hell.

In conjunction with the BSO, we are giving away 20 pairs of tickets for each event.

All this week, the Daily Echo will be featuring a token each day inside the paper.

By collecting three tokens through the week and attaching them to an entry form appearing in the Echo on Saturday July 23, you can enter the competition draw.

The first two tokens appeared in Monday and Tuesday's Echo and today you can collect token three.

Daily Echo editor, Andy Martin, said: "The Proms in the Park is one of the biggest highlights of the year and this is an amazing opportunity, thanks to the BSO to be a part of it.

"It promises to be an absolutely fantastic weekend."

The BSO's chief executive, Dougie Scarfe said: "We are delighted to be making our highly anticipated return to Meyrick Park, with thanks to the generous support from Bournemouth Borough Council.

"We look forward to welcoming thousands over the three days to enjoy this summer spectacle with an extraordinary programme of live music, works and events that has something for everyone."
