A man who went missing from his home in Bournemouth earlier this month has been found safe and well.

Alan Jenkins, 50, had been missing since Wednesday 8 June 2016 when he left an address in Suffolk Road.

Alan was wearing a long black leather coat, black trousers, a dark coloured t-shirt and possibly light coloured trainers.

Inspector Matt Baxter, of Dorset Police, said: “Alan did not tell anyone where he was going and he doesn’t appear to have taken any of his belongings with him.

Police issued an appeal to the public to help find him.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said Alan has been found safe and well in Poole.

They said: "We would like to thank all those members of public who have called in with information and shared our appeal."
