A MAN has denied causing the death of Ringwood mum-of-two Tereasa Cutler in a car crash by driving dangerously.

Lewis Faulkner, 25, entered not guilty pleas at Bournemouth Crown Court to one count of causing death by dangerous driving, one count of causing death whilst uninsured and three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Ms Cutler, 49, died in a crash on the A31 near to Lake Gates in Wimborne.

Her 18-year-old daughter Alice, 16-year-old son Daniel and 19-year-old nephew Joseph Woodland were also in her Ford Fiesta and suffered injuries in the collision with a BMW 3 Series.

They spent many weeks receiving specialist treatment in hospitals in Poole and Southampton. Both the driver and passenger of the BMW were also injured.

Faulkner, of Coburg Road, Dorchester, was released on bail to return to court for a trial on October 17.

Ms Cutler was the welfare officer of Ringwood Football Club's youth groups, managing the safety of 200 youngsters in 20 teams.

At the time of the crash in June last year she was driving home from the funeral of her sister Patricia Woodland, a former South Western Ambulance Service technician, at the Harbour View Woodland Burial Ground in Poole.

Many tributes were paid by family members and by those who worked with her, including by her daughter Alice who said she was "incredibly selfless" and "beautiful, smiley, happy and radiant".

She said her mother had taken up the role of "both mum and dad" after their father died from cancer in 2006.

Ringwood FC chairman Phil King praised Ms Cutler as an "incredibly hard-working" volunteer with "unwavering dedication".
