PLANS to bring a giant water slide to Bournemouth's seafront have been postponed until later in the year.

Cancer Research say their SlideRider™ is a 'giant waterslide like you’ve never seen before.'

Members of the public had been urged to buy tickets to ride the SlideRider and raise money for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens 'to help find cures and kinder treatments for kids with cancer.'

The charity planned to have the slide in town on Saturday May 7 - with slots bookable and volunteers advertised for - but the event has now been delayed. No new date has been set, but the charity says it will definitely be happening later in the summer.
