ADVENTURE Wonderland has applied to Christchurch Council for permission to use part of their car park for Bournemouth Airport customers.

The popular attraction has submitted an application to use part of their land for an airport parking service.

Currently run by BOMA Ltd, the company collects customers’ cars from the airport and takes them to a parking compound around 30 minutes drive away.

A short time before cars are returned, they are driven to the application site until the customer returns to the airport.

Planning agents, Tanner and Tilley, say they are currently receiving about 30 enquiries a day for this service, which is likely to increase as the airport expands and flight numbers increase, they claim.

A planning statement says: “There is a need for the services offered by BOMA.

“Bournemouth Airport do not offer a meet-and-greet service and when they previously did it was not an actual meet-and-greet service because customers had to still park in the car park and then had to take their keys to the information desk in the departures terminal, so no-one from the airport was there to meet them.”
