TWO free entry fun days featuring an inflatable pirate ship, facepainting and dancing have been organised by BH Live for this weekend.

Bournemouth Pavilion's Big Bournemouth Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, August 1, from 10am to 4pm, which is planned to take place on the theatre's terrace, which faces the Lower Gardens.

Entertainment is set to include Punch and Judy, a DJ, children's dance workshops, stalls and games, youth theatre workshops and children's entertainer, Jamie Jigsaw, organised by BH Live in partnership with Bournemouth Council.

On Sunday, August 2, there will be a new event at Littledown Centre and Park, which runs from 11am to 4pm, which is expected to attract thousands with a range of indoor and outdoor activities.

Pat Coyne, BH Live Director of Venues, said: "Our family fun days are going to be two great days out for all the family with kids of all ages.

"There is going to be so much to do and see and alongside our great show programme at the Bournemouth Pavilion, we can't wait for the summer to start."

Other activities planned for the Littledown Centre and Park event include a giant inflatable slide and bungee trampolines, balloon modelling, magic show, a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang replica car and rides on a model railway.

Kids will also be able to use go karts, fun fair rides, zorb circuits with football, and a photobooth.

Altitude High Ropes Adventure at Littledown Park will be running taster sessions on the high and low ropes course, climbing wall and power fan descender.

Indoors there will be gymnastics, taekwondo and dance displays will be showcasing some of the centre's offerings and there will be inflatable sessions in the swimming pool.

Entry is free on both days, however charges apply to refreshments and some activities.
