POLICE officers are this afternoon on the beach at Bournemouth after a 28-foot powerboat became stranded near the wedding beach hut.
Coastguard officials are also on their way to help free the beached vessel.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard said the incident is ongoing, adding that a man is safely off the powerboat and waiting for crews to arrive.
Police were called to the Undercliff shortly before 3pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "It is believed that there is a problem with the anchor, which cannot be raised."
