WITH just two days to go to the start of the second Bournemouth Wheels Festival, organisers have announced more new attractions - including a replica of Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes F1 car.

Also appearing will be tetraplegic Porsche Championship driver, Nathalie McGloin.

As well as rides, stunts and live entertainment, motor and racing enthusiasts will be able to see open-wheelers and dream machines on display and in action across the festival site this weekend.

Organisers have revealed that a replica of Lewis Hamilton’s F1 car will be on display in the foyer at Bournemouth International Centre for the duration of the festival, courtesy of Sandown Mercedez-Benz in Poole. Also on show will be a Mercedes DTM - German Touring Car - racer and a GTS supercar.

Also new for Wheels 2015 and joining the roster of vehicles on the East Overcliff Demonstration Straight, is rising star Nathalie.

Nathalie recently debuted in the Porsche Club Championship at Brands Hatch, having learned to race using hand controls after a car accident at the age of 16 left her paralysed from the chest down.

Nathalie said: “I met fellow driver, Lorina McLaughlin, last year at Goodwood and she told me about Bournemouth Wheels Festival – I simply had to be involved! Bournemouth in the summer is beautiful and being full of supercars makes it all the better. I'm really looking forward to the weekend.”

Wheels Festival Director, Jon Weaver said: “Bournemouth Air Festival recently won VisitEngland’s Tourism Event of the Year and on the back of this proven success, the buzz around the relatively new Wheels Festival has really grown in the space of just a year.

“Now, we’re doing everything we can to make sure that people have a world-class experience at Wheels 2015 and these exciting additions to an already jam-packed programme will make for a weekend to remember.”

Anyone looking for a taste of life in the fast lane will find supercars, including Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Lotus, in the Purbeck Hall at the BIC.

On each day of the festival the supercars will parade along the Demo Straight on East Overcliff Drive and six specially selected models will stretch their legs over a full demonstration run. Among the highlights are a Ferrari 575 GTC, a McLaren P1 and a Nissan R35 GT-R.

For speed junkies and Grand Prix fans this year’s Demo Straight will be bursting with wheels in action.

In addition to the thrill of historic F1 cars, including Michael Schumacher’s Benetton B192 and Damon Hill’s Arrows A18, there are Moto GP and Isle of Man TT bikes, as well as Le Mans, British Touring Car Championship and rally cars.
