Five of Bournemouth's beach huts have had a makeover for the summer.

Design company Cath Kidston unveiled its latest #RandomActsofKidston on Bournemouth beach, where it has decorated five huts in the brand's iconic prints.

The huts numbered 2368-2372, have been covered in five of prints from the company's Spring/Summer collection.

#RandomActsofKidston is Cath Kidston's way of "brightening up peoples’ day through the power of beautiful prints."

Mark Smith, director of Bournemouth Tourism, said that the town has a reputation for doing things in style. He added: "The beach huts already enjoy one of the finest views in Britain and now have had a makeover from one of England’s leading fashion designers.

"Famous for the nostalgic floral patterns, the Cath Kidston designed huts are sure to be a talking point and will work perfectly on the beautiful seafront."

Marketing Director for Cath Kidston, Sue Chidler, said: "As a brand that is dedicated to brightening up peoples' day with our colourful prints, we are always looking at fun ways to bring that cheerfulness to life in a new and exciting way.

"The beach huts in Bournemouth are synonymous with the British summertime, providing an iconic landscape on our beaches and we were incredibly excited to be able to work with Bournemouth Council to brighten up these traditional huts this summertime, with five of Cath Kidston's key summer prints."

A spokesperson for Bournemouth Tourism confirmed that three of the five beach huts are already reserved on an annual let basis and the other two should be available for hire from next week.
