PRODUCERS of a series that aims to help families on a budget eat healthily is seeking households to take part in the television programme.

Eat Well For Less? has been commissioned for a second series, with Masterchef’s Greg Wallace and award-winning greengrocer Chris Bavin returning as presenters.

The show’s mission is to help families across the UK save money, sort food facts from fiction and eat well for less. In each episode the presenters will confront a family whose food bills have spiralled out of control and will show them simple and effective ways to save a fortune on their shopping.

They will also be spying on participants in the supermarket, snooping through their cupboards and swapping some of their favourite brands with alternatives.

Jo Scarratt-Jones, executive producer, said: “It’s fantastic to be making another series of Eat Well For Less? as we have a real opportunity to give viewers even more money-saving tips on how to get the best out of their food shopping.

“It’s such an interesting area and it’s great to be able to identify bad shopping habits and help change them. It’s certainly changed the way I shop.”

Gregg Wallace added: “I’m delighted to be filming another series, I thoroughly enjoyed making the last one. People and eating is a fascinating subject.”
