MORE than 400 people queued outside the Game shop in Castlepoint on Tuesday, some for as long as six hours, for a chance to meet WWE wrestling legend, Goldust.

The American star arrived in the Bournemouth video game store at 4pm with his signature black and gold face paint and stayed for two hours talking to his fans, ahead of his performance at the BIC that night.

Game Castlepoint store manager Dave Cooke said: “The WWE franchise is hugely popular amongst both wrestling and gaming fans alike and so we were very excited to welcome Goldust to the Castlepoint store with a fantastic turnout of over 400 people, some queuing from 10am.

“Goldust certainly didn’t disappoint, with hundreds snapping up pictures and autographs with the WWE superstar- we know how important it is for fans to meet their idols, so it was great to give them this opportunity.”

People of all ages were excited to see ‘The Bizarre One’ up close, getting him to sign their merchandise, pose for pictures and offer his thoughts on who would be victorious in the match against his brother, Stardust, in Bournemouth.

When the veteran WWE star did appear at the BIC in front of a packed audience, fans cheered and whooped as the match went back and forth, with his competitor, Stardust, winning the bout.

Other names to take part in the show were WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, who took on Randy Orton, Ryback, Kane, The Ascension, Lucha Dragons, Dean Ambrose and Luke Harper.

It was the second time that the popular show had taken place in the BIC, last heading to the town in November 2014.
