AN ELDERLY man has been left with serious and potentially life-changing injuries after a fail to stop collision in Bournemouth today.
Police were called to Lansdowne Road at 11.30am with reports of the incident which saw a van hit the 75-year-old man near the pedestrian crossing before driving off.
Ambulance staff took the man to Poole Hospital for treatment as a result of the injuries to his head and leg.
PC Kevin Farenden of Dorset Police’s Traffic Unit said: “I am appealing to anyone who knows something about this incident, or who witnessed the collision, to contact me urgently with their information on 101.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should contact Dorset Police on 101, quoting incident number 15:145 or call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
