A MAN was talked down from the roof of a 100ft building in Bournemouth this evening.
Westover Road was cordoned off by police after a person was seen sitting on the edge of the roof of Grosvenor Casino at around 6.10pm.
Police cordoned off the area and urged members of the public to stay away while officers negotiated with the man, who is believed to be in his late teens or early twenties.
Approximately four police vehicles and four vehicles from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service scrambled to the scene.
A spokesman from Dorset Police said: “We were called by a member of the public who saw a man on the roof with his feet dangling over the edge.
“Officers went on the roof of a nearby building and were able to speak to him. He was talked down and taken to hospital.”
