PLANE enthusiasts welcomed the arrival of a state-of-the-art jet at Bournemouth Airport on Saturday morning.
Amateur aviation photographer @frazerhockey1 captured this shot of the Thomson Airways 787 Dreamliner.
He said it was the second time a Dreamliner has visited the airport. The first was in 2013.
The lucky passengers who boarded the plane, which was due to depart at 11.30am, are destined for Barbados.
Thomson Airways, which from this summer will use the 787 Dreamliner for all of its long-haul flights, describes the plane as “a state-of-the-art jet that’s changing the future of flying”.
The plane has 47 business seats and 241 economy seats.
The airline claims passengers feel “fresher” after flying in the Dreamliner compared to other planes due to its lower cabin pressure, which allows more oxygen to be absorbed into your blood.
