A love-struck football fan has been reunited with a mystery girl he met on a train after his Twitter plea went viral.
Angus Mainland, 19, sat next to the girl when he was travelling from Bournemouth to Southampton to watch his beloved team Crystal Palace on Saturday.
However, he later regretted not asking for her number and took to Twitter to find her.
The student tweeted a selfie he had taken with the girl wearing his Palace scarf to Cross Country trains in a bid to track her down, saying “please help me find the girl I sat next to on the 12:45 from Bournemouth to Southampton. Fell in love”
