WITH just four weeks to go until they take to the dance floor, Bournemouth’s Christmas Business Come Dancing stars are perfecting their routines.

The couples are getting as much practice in as possible before they perform at a gala fund raising event on December 11.

Organisers of the event hope to raise thousands of pounds for the Wessex Cancer Trust and the Parkinson’s Dance Class at Pavilion Dance in Bournemouth.

All the tickets for the finale, which includes the competition and a black tie dinner, are already sold.

Rob Hazel, owner of the popular Flirt Café in Bournemouth, is learning the Lindyhop with his professional partner, Sarah Probert.

The Daily Echo caught up with them in rehearsals and Rob was keen to point out it’s not as easy as it looks.

“I have had about 10 lessons so far and I ache after every single one” he said. “I love to dance if I’m at a party and I can do what I like but this is really difficult.

“I’ve got a lot more respect for dancers than I used to have. This dance is really fast and there are only four weeks to go so it’s getting a bit scary now.”

The couple are dancing to a jive version of Bring Me Sunshine.

Dancer Jess Hulbert, a university placement student at Pavilion Dance, will be performing street dance to Chris Brown’s Turn It Up with the owner of Westbourne’s MWAH salon, Simone Thomas.

Jess said: “Simone has never danced before so it was a bit of a struggle at first but it’s going really well now. Some people have been doing more practice than us but I’m sure it will be fine.”
