FIVE fundraisers rowed the Channel aboard the Barfleur Ferry to support BCHA’s Miles for Hope campaign.
The team took it in turns to complete stints on a rowing machine placed on the deck of the ferry and rowed for the entire nine-hour return journey.
In total the team travelled more than 680 miles and raised over £1,350 for the Miles for Hope campaign, launched to fund a resettlement support worker to work with victims of human trafficking.
Brittany Ferries donated a prize of a free return trip to France to Edward Adamson of Lester Aldridge, who was the participant who raised the most sponsorship.
Lorna Trent, fundraising manager at BCHA, said: “I would like to say a big thank-you to our fantastic five who took part in the challenge to raise money for victims of human trafficking.
“The team worked so hard, showing great commitment.”
