A DESPERATE family appealing for help in finding their missing dog Jack have offered a £500 reward.

The beloved Patterdale Terrier disappeared during a morning walk over Queens Park Golf Course on Saturday morning.

Owner Charlotte Devereux says her family are distraught and desperate for any information about the much-missed family pet.

They have been searching the golf course and surrounding area for hours since he disappeared, but to no avail.

Charlotte says she fears he may have been taken due to the lack of sightings.

“First of all I thought he was stuck down a hole”, she said.

“We’ve been back, early in the morning when it’s quiet to see if we can hear him. I’ve taken our other dog as well as I thought she might be able to sniff him out.

“I think he might have been taken because someone must have seen him otherwise.”

Jack has a long brown rough coat but with a ginger moustache and is microchipped.

“I’ve put posters everywhere. He never goes out of the golf course. He is so good natured and very friendly towards people.

“My daughter is so upset. She’s always cuddled up with him and now he’s gone,” Charlotte said.

“We’ve been out for six to eight hours a day looking for him since he went missing and people have been so good helping us search.

“We just want to know what’s happened and get him back.”

Charlotte has informed the police and local warden about Jack, as well as posting his picture on Facebook and missing dog websites.
