A 28-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital from a field in Christchurch this evening.
Emergency services were called to Bernards Mead in Iford at approximately 6pm following concerns for a man's welfare.
A spokesman from the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance Service said: “Police and other emergency services attended the area known locally as Bernards Mead in Iford, Christchurch, following concerns being raised for the welfare of the 28-year-old local male.
“The male was located and airlifted to Southampton General Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for injuries.”
The casualty’s next of kin have been informed. The seriousness and nature of his injuries are not yet known.
