A BOSCOMBE man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a Townsend man and several other offences.

Ethan Stanley, of Hamilton Road, was not asked to make a plea when he appeared at Bournemouth Magistrates’ Court on Saturday to be formally charged with the attempted murder of Mark Williams.

The 24-year-old was also not asked to offer a plea to a charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Mr Williams’ son John, between March 15 and 18 on Holdenhurst Road.

He pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of committing affray on March 31 and also pleaded not guilty to possession with intent to supply a controlled drug.

Stanley was remanded in custody and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, April 25.
