A NEW scheme to bring transferee officers into Dorset Police has begun.
There are vacancies for 25 police constables to join the force in 2014/15 from other constabularies across England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The vacancies are for uniform patrol constables and specialist-trained armed response constables.
It comes just six months after Dorset Police launched a recruitment drive for new PCs – the first external campaign in four years.
Chief Constable Debbie Simpson, pictured, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for current serving police constables to join the Dorset Police team and help make a difference.
“We are fortunate to police a beautiful and diverse county which attracts millions of visitors each year.
“I’d encourage anyone who is interested in forging a career with Dorset Police to visit our website and find out more.”
The recruitment process for transferee uniform patrol constables and specialist-trained armed response constables begins today and closes on Saturday, May 10.
