TWO more people have appeared in court charged with the murder of 21-year-old Reece James Menzies.

Londoner Kieron Wellington, 29, and Miss Terri Campbell, 22, from Bournemouth appeared before magistrates on Saturday morning.

Standing side-by-side in the dock, flanked by security staff, they spoke only to confirm their names and dates of birth.

Detectives have now charged five people with murder following the shooting.

Mr Menzies, the father of a baby girl, from London, was discovered dead at a Boscombe flat, at the junction of Roumelia Lane and Sea Road, in the early hours of Wednesday, July 25.

He had been shot in the head.

Detectives, who are continuing their hunt for the missing gun, made the latest arrests in Bournemouth on Wednesday.

They have been working closely with colleagues in London.

After the latest development, DCI Pam Trevillion, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: “The investigations team is still making active inquiries in relation to Reece’s death and we continue to search for the firearm that was used during this incident.”

Magistrates imposed a Contempt of Court Order banning publication of the defendants’ addresses following legal submissions from their solicitor, who argued it could have significant impact in the investigation.

Wellington and Campbell were remanded in custody ahead of a crown court appearance on October 2.

Anyone with information has been urged to contact Dorset Police on 101.

• Three London men, 33-year-old Wayne Stephenson, Keifer Hutchinson, 22, and Jerome Parkinson, 24, have also been charged with Reece’s murder.
