Sainsbury's reopens with new pizza counter

Boscombe Sainsbury’s reopened with a new pizza counter and hopes it will “start the reinvigoration of Boscombe town centre.”

The store has had a complete refit over seven weeks and was reopened by Mayor Cllr Phil Stanley Watts yesterday.

It now has a hot food counter, including fresh pizzas, and modernised fixtures and fittings.

The store has also recruited 15 new part time and full time staff, taking the total to 135.

Manager Paul Jones said the 99-year-old supermarket was last refurbished 13 years ago.

Mr Jones added: “It has been completely rebuilt inside and to the customers it will look like a new store.

“We hope this will start the reinvigoration of Boscombe town centre.”

I couldn't believe the difference in the store - it seems to have acquired Tardis-like qualities! Great improvement - well done Sainsbury's and whoever designed the new layout
