INTERNATIONAL cuisine and good conversation are on offer at a new monthly community lunch in Boscombe.

The Unity International Café aims to "bring together young and old alike to share each other’s cultural interests and enthusiasm over a culturally-themed lunch to spark the conversation of the wonders of Dorset’s community diversity".

Based at the Friends Meeting House in Boscombe, the lunches take place between 12pm and 2pm every second Wednesday of the month. There is a £6 charge for a three-course lunch.

The lunches are organised by Unity in Vision, a Dorset voluntary organisation which aims to unite people from diverse cultures, with help from the Friendly Food Club and The Training and Learning Company.

Rita El-Gazali, of Unity in Vision, said: "These lunches are a fantastic way to meet people from different cultures who live locally.

"To come eat, relax and network while sharing their cultures.

"We want to aid the integration of all our many ethnic groups in Boscombe with residents and celebrate our wonderful diversity."
