POLICE officers dealt with 46 traffic offences in an eight-hour stint on Friday with a one vehicle reportedly detected travelling at 117 miles per hour.
Members of Dorset Police's No Excuse team were out in the Boscombe area taking part in Operation Wolf, an Automatic Number Plate Recognition led multi-agency operation.
Throughout the shift from 3pm to 11pm officers dealt with incidents including a driver without a licence, driving without due care and attention and excess speed.
The No Excuse team provided information of the shift through their Facebook page. The team reported arresting five drivers, with four of these for positive drug wipes.
Officers worked alongside the DVLA who reportedly seized 17 vehicles for no tax. Police stopped the vehicles and the DVLA assisted. If the driver was unable to pay an on the spot fine of £260 the vehicle was seized and fines increase.
