THREE drivers had their vehicles seized during a busy shift in Bournemouth and Boscombe on Friday night for Dorset Police's No Excuse team.

An orange Peugeot was seized as the vehicle had no insurance and the MOT expired in 2016.

The driver had been given the car by a family member and assumed they paid the insurance. However, this wasn't the case. The driver was reported for both offences and the vehicle was seized.

A red Peugeot was seized as the vehicle did not have any insurance. The vehicle had been spotted earlier in the day by officers but they had been unable to be locate it. The late crew found the vehicle on Columbia Road. The driver admitted to officers they couldn't afford the insurance. The driver was reported for the offence and the vehicle seized.

A green Toyota was seized as the vehicle again did not have any insurance. The car was seen in Boscombe along Christchurch Road. The driver told officers they were unaware the insurance had been cancelled. The driver at the roadside was trying to prove he had insurance and asked for officers to retrieve his phone from the vehicle.

When officers collected the phone, they spotted the bag of cannabis in the passenger footwell. A drug wipe came back negative and the driver received a warning. Both the cannabis and the car was seized.
