A MAN was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from a window in Boscombe.

Paramedics and police were called to a property in Carnarvon Road, near the central precinct and the Crescent, around 12.30am on Wednesday, June 14.

Dorset Police said the man, local and aged in his 40s, had fallen "from a height". He was found on the ground outside the house.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His next of kin have been informed.

Detective Constable Sarah Close, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Enquiries are underway to establish how this man sustained his injuries and we are trying to find out if he fell or whether someone else was involved.”

Yesterday, neighbours were shocked to hear about the incident.

One, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "All I could see from my window was blue lights.

"There were a couple of police cars there today as well.

"I hope the man is ok and gets better.

"I am sure the police will be able to get to the bottom of what happened."

Another said: "I don't know what happened but police were there yesterday.

"I think they were trying to find out if he fell or if he was persuaded."

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 55170088638.
