AROUND 12 drivers discovered their vehicles had been clamped in Boscombe at the weekend - in a DVLA crackdown on untaxed vehicles.
They were parked at St Clement's Road, Borthwick Road and Churchill Road.
Stickers put onto the windscreens of the cars read: "Stop: Do not attempt to move this untaxed vehicle. It is an offence to interfere with the wheelclamp. It is an offence to remove this notice."
At least half of the clamped vehicles had had their stickers removed, but the clamps remained in place on Saturday morning (APR 8).
