A WOMAN has been arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.
Officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse team were in Boscombe on Wednesday (Mar15) as part of Operation Benchmark working alongside Boscombe Neighbourhood Policing team.
According to officers the woman who was stopped for drug driving had been stopped just last month for no insurance
During the operation officers also seized three vehicles and issued several tickets for other offences including speeding and using a mobile phone whilst driving.
One of the drivers stopped using a phone was already on three points and had only been driving for 11 months, this means she will have her licence revoked by the DVLA and will need to retake all parts of her driving test.
According to police one of the females stopped for no insurance said: "'Can't i just be let off its human error'. This was after the insurance company had written a letter, emailed and text the policy holder after payment was not received, they then cancelled the policy."
