TRAFFIC officers patrolled the roads around a Boscombe primary school on Thursday after complaints from parents.

Officers from Dorset Police's No Excuses team visited Pokesdown Community Primary School during the morning school run.

The driver of a tipper truck was stopped after being spotted using his phone at the wheel.

Next, officers dealt with the driver of an Audi who pulled over on a 'keep clear' area to drop off children.

Police allege that the driver had no insurance. The vehicle was seized and the driver reported.

Another driver was stopped after it was allegedly found that the MOT on their vehicle had run out in November last year.

Officers then visited students in the school, along with representatives from the Dorset Road Safe team.

Shortly after leaving the school, a Vauxhall van was stopped by officers as the insurance had reportedly run out in December 2016.

The vehicle was seized.
