A GENERATOR powering an indoor market in Boscombe was due to be removed on Friday night.

Bailiffs turned off the power supply at Zervo Flexi Village on Monday, February 6, following allegations that owners owed electric company EON around £90,00.

However in the weeks since then the business, which is located in the former TJ Hughes unit adjacent to the Sovereign Shopping Centre , has remained open as owners were able to gain a temporary licence for a generator at the site.

The licence expired on Thursday - but was still in use at the precinct on Friday.

Staff at the store refused to comment when the Echo approached them.

But a Bournemouth Council spokesman said the generator supplier confirmed they would be collecting the generator at 5.30pm Friday evening.

On Saturday the store appeared to be closed by the generator was still on site behind some white hoardings.
