ALEX MATSON, 20 and of Ash Close in Swanage. admitted assaulting a person by beating her between February 10 2017 and February 19 2017 in Swanage. Also admitted pursuing a course of conduct which amounted to stalking by sitting outside the victim’s house, sending more than 100 text messages, refusing to leave and following the victim on foot and in his car between February 1 2017 and March 11 2017. Also admitted assaulting a person by beating him on March 11 2017 in Swanage. Also admitted having with him in a public place a weapon, namely a wooden bat, on March 11 2017. Also admitted assaulting a person by beating him on March 11 2017 in Swanage. Committed to prison for a total of five months suspended for 12 months. The defendant must comply with the requirements of a 12-month supervision order, including a 29-day programme requirement and 100 hours of unpaid work. To pay compensation totalling £350 to victims, to pay £85 costs.
