TWO people have appeared in court charged with the murder of 45-year-old Angelo Maurilio Rodrigues at his Bournemouth home.

Tracey Ann Mansell, 55, of Coleman Road, West Howe, and 40-year-old James Joseph Kinsley, of Hinton Road, Bournemouth, are jointly accused of committing the offence on Friday, July 27 this year.

Both were wearing short sleeved black t-shirts and black trousers when they appeared in the dock together at Bournemouth Magistrates Court yesterday morning.

They spoke only to confirm their names during the five-minute hearing in which Mansell was represented by Ian Daly and Kinsley by Guy Gosheron.

Some members of the public were in the public gallery.

Mr Rodrigues, who was born and brought up in Funchal, Madeira, died of multiple stab wounds following an incident in his flat in Coleman Road.

One of six brothers, he moved to England around 10 years ago and is believed to have lived in Coleman Road for seven years.

His brother, Jose, told the Daily Echo Angelo moved to England for a better life and hoped to get married and find work.

He described his younger brother as good academically, tall, good-looking and strong.

Mansell and Kinsley were remanded in custody and will appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, August 3.
