Bournemouth Echo:

An area of pavement outside Cafe Fresco has been cordoned off and is currently under police guard.

Residents of flats above the shops are having to identify themselves to officers at the scene in order to cross the cordon.

One neighbour told the Echo they hadn't heard anything out of ordinary.

Another nearby worker said: "I don't know what has happened and I don't want to know.

"There is always something bad happening around here."

Police community support officers are patrolling the area to reassure members of the public.
