TWO men are due appear in court in connection with a collision that left two young German students injured.
The two-car collision occurred at 7pm on Sunday, July 2, on the A347 Wimborne Road at the junction with the B3064 Lansdowne Road at Cemetery Junction.
As a consequence of the collision, one of the cars collided with metal railings, causing injuries to two 16-year-old pedestrians.
One of the students sustained serious while the other suffered minor injuries.
A 25-year-old man from Lytchett Matravers has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, December 19, for failing to stop after a road accident and failing to report an accident.
A 32-year-old man from Coventry has been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, January 2, for an offence of driving without due care and attention.
