POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was injured in a hit-and-run collision in North Dorset.

The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, was involved in a collision on Sackmore Lane in Marnhull at around 10.45am on Wednesday, November 29.

It was reported that the grey or silver car failed to stop at the scene.

The woman was initially able to make her way home but was later taken to hospital with injuries to her wrist and shoulder.

Police Constable Kate Schofield, of North Dorset Police, said: “We have made a number of enquiries into this incident, including house-to-house enquiries in the local area.

“I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage that might have covered the incident to contact police.”
