A MAN is due to appear in court charged with causing the death of a Bournemouth pensioner in a crash earlier this year.
Police were called to Southbourne Road at 11.45am on Wednesday April 26 this year after a crash between a car and pedestrian.
The woman, 87-year-old Ann Lowrey, suffered serious injuries to her legs and head. She later died in hospital from her injuries.
Lewis Thorne, 76, from Bournemouth, is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday for an offence of causing death by careless driving and failing to stop after a road accident.
