POLICE are continuing to investigate after two attackers beat a man into unconsciousness before robbing him.

As reported in the Daily Echo, the victim, a 32-year-old Christchurch man, had left the Boathouse in Quay Road, Christchurch at around 1.30am on June 26.

As he made his way towards Arthur Road at the junction with Arthur Lane, he was set upon by two men.

He was left unconscious in the road, but awoke afterwards to discover his wallet, phone and house keys were missing.

The victim was taken to the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, where he was treated for concussion and a fractured thumb.

Police investigating the incident say he may have met three men outside the Kings Arms in Castle Street before making his way towards Arthur Road.

A 24-year-old Christchurch man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released under investigation.
