A TEENAGE boy has been charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm after a McDonald's employee suffered serious injuries in an alleged attack.

Police were called to reports of an alleged assault at the restaurant in Old Christchurch Road on Friday, October 14 2016 at 11pm.

It was alleged that a member of staff was punched in the face as the branch was closing.

The complainant suffered a serious head injury and was treated in hospital.

A 16-year-old boy from Bournemouth, who cannot be named, has now been issued with a postal requisition to appear at Poole Youth Court on Tuesday, July 11.
