A MAN has been charged after an alleged robbery at a Bournemouth bank last year.
John Macleod, of Dudley Road in Bournemouth is due to appear before a judge at Bournemouth Crown Court in August - almost 12 months after the alleged incident.
The defendant, 39, has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, a robbery which allegedly took place at Lloyds in Wimborne Road, Kinson, acquiring, using or having possession of criminal property in Christchurch High Street and taking a motor vehicle without consent.
All of the alleged offences are claimed to have taken place on August 24 2016
Macleod has also been charged with damaging a detention cell at Bournemouth Police Station on August 25 2016 and August 30 2016.
He has not entered a plea to any of the charges against him.
Police were called to Lloyds at 9.44am on the day of the alleged incident.
It was reported that a man had threatened staff and demanded money. Paramedics were also called and a person was treated for chest pains.
