SANDFORD: Residents are urged to remain vigilant for suspicious-looking vehicles in the Sandford area after a rise in the number of thefts from vehicles. Unattended cars and vans have been targeted for power tools and other valuables in recent weeks. Anyone with information is asked to call the police on 101, preferably with a registration of any such suspicious vehicles.

WAREHAM: Thieves attempted to burgle a commercial premises in the early hours of Sunday. Offenders burnt the outer frame of a window and smashed the glass as well as trying to force open the door, but were unable to gain access. MOORDOWN: A dark blue and black bike was stolen from a shed in West Way sometime between 6pm on Saturday, May 13 and 8am on Tuesday, May 16.

NORTH DORSET: Two chainsaws and two bicycles were stolen from a garage in Frenchmill Lane between Monday, May 8, and Sunday, May 14. The offenders took two Husqvarna chainsaws - one 235v and the other 440v - one black BMC TMR road bicycle and one white specialised mountain bike.

PURBECK: A quad bike was stolen from the Steeple area of Purbeck. Police are asking for anyone with information about the red Suzuki KingQuad to get in touch via 101.
