AN ELDERLY woman has been charged with causing death by careless driving following a fatal crash last year.
The 79-year-old from Ferndown will appear before magistrates in Poole this Friday, April 28.
Police were called to New Road, close to the Northbourne roundabout, at around 5pm on Wednesday, November 23.
Pamela Wilde, 84, who was on foot, was injured in a collision with a brown Honda Jazz.
She suffered serious head injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital.
Ms Wilde died of her injuries on November 26.
The driver of the Honda was not injured.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said a woman has been issued with a postal requisition to appear before Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
