POLICE battered down the door of a Poole home this morning as they searched for a wanted man.

Around nine officers were called to Arne Avenue after the man breached an order not to visit the road.

He was then traced back to a property in nearby Herbert Avenue.

Detectives could be seen trying to get the man to come downstairs and open the front door.

However, eventually an enforcer, or battering ram, was used by officers.

No one was arrested inside the house and the investigation continues.

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "This incident related to arrest enquiries in the Arne Avenue area.

"The person has not been located and enquiries are ongoing."
