ARMED police from Dorset have visited an address in Ferndown in connection with an alleged fraudulent investment scheme.

Officers were in Dudsbury Road this afternoon to assist a Serious Fraud Office (SFO) investigation into Bournemouth-based company Ethical Forestry Limited.

A spokesperson from the organisation said: "The director of the SFO has opened a criminal investigation into an alleged fraudulent investment scheme marketed by Ethical Forestry Limited and associated companies between 2007 and 2015.

"As part of the investigation, the SFO, in conjunction with Dorset Police, have executed search warrants at three addresses in the south of England."

The firm sold trees in ethically managed forests, into which some people put their self-invested pension money.

Anyone who invested in the schemes is urged to complete a questionnaire by visiting sfovla.egressforms.com

The questionnaire will be available from Friday, March 10.
